Meet the Team
We have many wonderful volunteers and helpers. Some do not like being online and we are absolutley fine with that.
But let us introduce you to the three women who made this happen.
Our Directors.

Leah Hepburn
Hi it's Leah here.
I had no idea that this was my path untill I fell into it.
Beyond All Labels (The working name of Beyond All Labels CIC) started as a conversation over a cuppa with Julie and Karen.
I had been toying with the idea for a while but wasn't sure where to start.
When I was learning my craft (counselling) my 1st ever placement client was neurodivergent mum.
We worked together to navigate her life around her.
I noticed 90% of my clients either had a neurodiverse diagnosis or someone close had one. Some were self diagnosed.
I finished my placement and was offered a job as an associate counsellor in an ASN high school. While I was waiting in traffic (I kid you not).
Two weeks later I was in the high achool learning what school life is actually like for ASN kids.
I was heartbroken for these kids. Navigating puberty, additiona needs, social skills and still under someone else's timetable.
I decided I needed to do something.
I started playing with the idea of a counselling charity, cic.
On the 10th of March 2026 I met Karen and Julie for a cuppa. Julie was talking about the gap for neurodivergent children.
Next think I know we are arranging directorships. I'm showing my logo designs (we kept the ladybird and had it redesigned by our volunteer artist)
Now what about location. I had a small room inside the Hamilton Community Stadium. We could do counselling from there. BUT what else do we want to offer???
The charity Circle had decided to move on to new premises and I said I WANT THEIR ROOMS!
Had a few weeks of repeating myself and then they said OK. We negotiated rent and the next thing I knew carpets were being replaced and sensory room was wired up.
On the 1st of August we had our official opening day. Our Hub was opened my Counselor Mo Razzaq. We had a smashing turn out and have recieved superb feedback.
So here we are less that 5 months from chat to open.
We are now in a bit of limbo getting the legal stuff sorted pvgs etc. Once they are in place we will be opening and hosting all sorts. We have more ideas than hours in the week!
So please keep an eye out, we are still working behind the scenes getting organised.
I quoted this to someone the other day 'if you think you can or ypu can't, you're right'. - Henry Ford
Building a community, friendships, support, supporting others... that's always been the dream for me.
Leah Hepburn, AuDHD, dyslexic (neurospicy) believed she could.....
Going to teach you how to believe in you........
Who's ready?

Karen Madden
I have 40 years of combined experience across the barbering and further education sectors, including 20 years as a professional barber followed by 20 years as a lecturer in further education.
During my teaching career, I worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds and with varying learning needs. This inspired me to broaden my professional knowledge and develop a deeper understanding of how best to support individuals in achieving their educational, personal and future career goals. I became particularly interested in working with neurodiverse young adults, which opened an important new chapter in my career and strengthened my passion for inclusive learning and individualised support.
To further develop my skills and understanding, I gained additional qualifications in Dyslexia, Adult Literacy and Numeracy, and Autism. These experiences have given me valuable insight into the different ways people learn, communicate and develop, as well as the importance of recognising and supporting individual strengths rather than focusing solely on challenges.
Working with Beyond All Labels would provide me with an opportunity to give something back by using my experience, knowledge and skills to support neurodiverse individuals and families across all age groups. I am passionate about helping people feel understood, valued and empowered, while continuing to learn and develop my own understanding of neurodiversity.

Julie Fair
Hi, I’m Julie!
I’ve spent over 26 years working with young people, and it’s something I’ve always been passionate about. My journey began in Beauty Therapy before moving into education, where I had the privilege of supporting young people to grow in confidence, develop new skills and believe in themselves. Watching someone realise what they’re capable of has always been the most rewarding part of my work.
Throughout my career, I’ve developed a real passion for understanding neurodiversity and creating spaces where everyone feels accepted, respected and valued for who they are. I believe that there is no “normal” way to learn or experience the world, and that our differences are something to be celebrated, not changed.
Joining Beyond All Labels CIC felt like a natural fit because it reflects everything I believe in—creating opportunities, building genuine relationships and helping people discover their strengths. I love taking the time to listen, encouraging others to believe in themselves and celebrating every achievement, no matter how big or small.
For me, it’s all about connection. Sometimes a kind word, a listening ear or someone believing in you can make all the difference. I want everyone who spends time with Beyond All Labels to feel welcomed, supported and empowered to be unapologetically themselves.
Kindness, connection and believing in people can change lives—and I’m excited to be part of that journey. After all, we’re all Beyond All Labels.
